DESCRIPTION
We developed the GRE 1.0 rotor to address two critical factors on steep and long descents: thermal management to mitigate brake fade and pad preservation against uneven wear. Built from our expertise in friction compounds, this rotor is engineered to deliver a high friction coefficient, maintaining a consistent lever feel throughout the entire descent.
To manufacture it, we used a high-precision laser cutting process on stainless steel, followed by a dedicated heat-treatment cycle. Laser cutting frees us from conventional geometric constraints, allowing us to design a track and ventilation architecture focused purely on performance. Meanwhile, the heat treatment raises the steel's hardness (HRC) to maximize wear resistance and stabilizes the metal's structure, ensuring the rotor withstands temperature spikes without suffering permanent deformation upon cooling.
INTENDED USE
Enduro / Downhill (DH) / E-Bikes
Technical Focus: Engineered to manage high inertia and continuous thermal stress. The 203mm version delivers the thermal mass and leverage required to stop heavy E-Bikes and long-travel rigs on extended descents, maintaining structural stiffness to prevent lever fatigue and heat warping noise.
