GRE 1.0

LESS FADING
LESS FATIGUE
CONSISTENT BRAKING

What will you feel?
The same lever feel from top to bottom thanks to a geometry combining an oversized track, core rigidity, and heat-treated steel.

YOU WANTED. WE CREATED IT.

Uncompromised performance meets raw aesthetics.
Explore the engineering behind the GRE braking track and structural characteristics.

  • Optimized Braking Track

    (13.5 mm – 15.5 mm).
Full Coverage & Thermal Control Sized precisely for standard pad heights to ensure 100% contact without biting into the rotor arms. Prevents uneven wear and eliminates excess mass on the outer band, allowing the inner section to dissipate heat efficiently.

  • Multi-Diameter Hole Pattern & Slots | Gas Evacuation & Active Cleaning.

The angled slots create a shearing effect that constantly strips away pad glazing while purging water, dust, and mud. Simultaneously, the multi-diameter ventilation holes break up the superheated gas boundary layer generated under heavy braking, preventing fading and keeping lever feel crisp and consistent.

  • Heat-Treated Stainless Steel | 2.0 mm Thickness & Structural Rigidity.

Manufactured from stainless steel and heat-treated to maximize hardness. Its 2.0 mm thickness provides the ideal mass and structural rigidity to withstand thermal stress on long descents, ensuring a firm and consistent lever feel.

  • Custom 316 Stainless Steel Bolts | Engineered Mass & High Shear Strength

Machined from marine-grade 316 stainless steel with a reduced-profile head and optimized neck section. At 10.4g per bolt, they eliminate non-structural volume while retaining full thread engagement and high torque limits, delivering superior shear resistance and zero corrosion risk compared to standard steel or titanium hardware.

QUESTIONS ABOUT GRE1.0?

Will it improve my brakes performance?

It’s not that your brakes will suddenly brake harder by magic; what you’ll directly notice is that they maintain that optimal braking sweet spot for much longer on descents. Because the rotor dissipates heat efficiently, the system temperature takes longer to rise. Therefore, it doesn’t multiply stopping power instantly. Instead, it prevents power fade on long descents, and that consistency is what gives you a clear feeling of improvement.

What will I feel?

Once the system (rotor and pads) is properly bedded in, you’ll feel very consistent braking performance. Especially on steep, prolonged descents where temperatures skyrocket, you’ll delay reaching that brake fade point. By keeping your brakes effective for longer, you won't need to over-squeeze the levers due to continuous overheating, which means significantly less hand and arm fatigue.

Why this shape?

It features this design for three main reasons:

·Higher friction: To generate a high friction coefficient, resulting in greater biting power.

·Heat dissipation: To efficiently channel heat away and maintain strong brake performance on long, steep descents.

·Even pad wear: To ensure the pads wear down uniformly without damaging the rotor’s structure or causing localized hot spots that lead to loss of efficiency.

Is it compatible with my brakes?

Yes, it’s compatible with the vast majority of brakes on the market. In a few specific cases, you might need to adjust the caliper height by a millimeter so the pad bites in the exact right area of the rotor's braking track. This is easily solved using 1 mm shims under the caliper.

Can I use any pad compound?

Yes, it’s compatible with the most common compounds on the market: organic, metallic, semi-metallic, ceramic, carbon-ceramic, and sintered. Just keep in mind that each compound has its own braking and thermal characteristics, so the brake’s feel and response will change depending on the pad you choose.

What makes the GRE 1.0 construction high-end?

The main difference lies in manufacturing precision and material quality. Most budget rotors are made using hydraulic press stamping, a mass-production process that creates internal metal stress and micro-warping, severely limiting design possibilities.

Instead, we manufacture the GRE 1.0 using high-precision laser cutting. This allows us to build the exact design pattern we want without geometry limits while keeping the metal structure fully stress-free. On top of that, we use high-grade heat-treated steel and apply a final precision flattening process to achieve perfect flatness.

While laser cutting and these post-processing steps significantly increase production costs compared to standard stamped rotors, the result is a truly high-end component, both in construction quality and real-world performance on the bike.
