DESCRIPTION
We developed the GRE 1.0 rotor to address two critical factors on steep and long descents: thermal management to mitigate brake fade and pad preservation against uneven wear. Built from our expertise in friction compounds, this rotor is engineered to deliver a high friction coefficient, maintaining a consistent lever feel throughout the entire descent.
To manufacture it, we used a high-precision laser cutting process on stainless steel, followed by a dedicated heat-treatment cycle. Laser cutting frees us from conventional geometric constraints, allowing us to design a track and ventilation architecture focused purely on performance. Meanwhile, the heat treatment raises the steel's hardness (HRC) to maximize wear resistance and stabilizes the metal's structure, ensuring the rotor withstands temperature spikes without suffering permanent deformation upon cooling.
INTENDED USE
Long-Travel E-Bikes / Downhill (DH) / Gravity
Technical Focus: Built for maximum physical and thermal demands. The 220mm size delivers the largest leverage arm and highest heat dissipation in the lineup, maintaining high performance on the most extreme descents and preventing premature brake system fade.
